DIY Body Wrap Recipe 1 – Chocolate, milk and honey body wrap

 

What you need for the ingredients are 1 cup cocoa powder, ½ cup whole milk and 1/3 cup honey. Mix together the cocoa powder, whole milk and honey in a plastic bowl. Each of the ingredients helps soften skin for a beneficial body wrap.

 

Cocoa powder is filled with antioxidants. Cocoa can tone and tighten the skin. It also draws out toxins and increases circulation. It helps to slow down the appearance of aging and prevents a reduction in skin elasticity.

 

Cut an old sheet into 3-inch-wide strips for placing on the body.

Brush the cocoa powder mixture onto the body with the paintbrush, working your way up from the feet.

 

Wrap the body with the sheet strips, starting from the feet and moving up the legs, torso and arms. Allow the wrap to sit on the body for 20 minutes. Rinse in a lukewarm shower to get the mixture off the body.

 

DIY Body Wrap Recipe 2 – Papaya body wrap

 

Papaya contains enzymes that are well known for softening and revitalizing the skin. Papaya contains a natural fruit acid that works the same way as an alpha hydroxyl acid and is a great exfoliant. It will help to remove dead skin cells leaving your skin feeling smooth and soft.

 

To make your own papaya body wrap, you puree the pulp of a very ripe papaya until it is smooth (takes just a few seconds with a hand blender). Spread it over your body, making sure not to rub it in. Roll your body in a plastic sheet.

 

Lie down on some old towels and wrap these around your body too. Set a timer for 20 minutes. When your 20 minutes is up, unwrap the plastic and wash off the papaya in a warm shower. Your skin should feel invigorated immediately.

 

DIY Body Wrap Recipe 3 – Clay and sea salt body wrap

 

Clay is one of the most commonly-used body wrap ingredients. Clay is a powder that when mixed with water, works to draw toxins and impurities from your skin. The most common types of clay used for body wraps are bentonite clay, yellow kaolin clay and pink kaolin clay.

Oil absorbing properties in bentonite clay make it suitable for oily skin. In addition, bentonite clay works as an exfoliant by helping removing dead skin cells. Finally, bentonite clay functions to tighten skin pores and stimulate blood flow. Yellow and pink kaolin clays are more suitable for normal to dry skin, as these types do not have absorbent properties.

 

Sea salt is an exfoliating ingredient. Exfoliants function to remove dirt, debris and dead skin cells, clearing the way for new skins cells to develop. Sea salt also helps revitalize the skin by improving blood flow.

 

To make your own clay body wrap, you will need 1 cup of green clay, 1/4 cup of sea salt, 2 tablespoons of olive oil and 2 cups of water. Boil the water and sea salt together until the sea salt dissolves and then turn off the heat and add the remaining ingredients. Allow to cool and then rub the mixture all over your body. You can also use coconut oil which has skin and hair benefits!

 

DIY Body Wrap Recipe 4 – Sea vegetables body wrap

 

Powdered sea vegetables, such as kelp or dulse, absorb into your skin and function to increase blood flow, draw toxins from lymphatic glands, revitalize, smoothen and restore elasticity to your skin. In addition, sea vegetables are rich in vitamins A, B, C, E, D and K, as well as carotenes and iodine, all important for healthy skin.

 

To make your own sea vegetable body wrap, you will need to combine 2 cups of clay with 1 cup of kelp or dulse, 2 cups of warm water and 1 cup of sea salt. Rub these mixtures over your body and wrap yourself in a large cotton sheet to soften and pamper your skin.

 

DIY Body Wrap Recipe 5 – Chocolate, strawberry and papaya body wrap

 

The needed ingredients are 2-3 fresh strawberries, ½ ripe papaya, ½ cup cocoa powder, 1/3 cup honey, 5-6 tablespoons sweet almond oil,

 

Put cocoa powder, papaya, strawberry, honey, almond in a blender and blend well. After this, you can apply this to your entire body with the help of a paintbrush. Wrap your body with the cling wrap and rinse off after half an hour.
