To make this scrub, you just need to combine 2 cups of brown sugar with 1 cup of oil. For the oil, you can use canola oil, extra virgin olive oil, grapeseed oil, almond oil or baby oil.

 

After you mix both of the ingredients well to form a paste, you can apply it all over your face and body in a gentle circular motion. You let this mixture stay on your skin for up to 15 minutes before you rinse it off.

 

Lavender Sugar Scrub

 

To create this scrub, you will need 1 cup of granulated white sugar, 1 cup of oil and 5 drops of lavender essential oil. For the oil, you can use extra virgin olive oil which has a stronger smell. You can also use jojoba oil which is suitable for all skin types.

 

You add the oil to the sugar first and then you add in the lavender essential oil to form a thick paste. You can now apply this mixture all over your face and body, massaging in a gentle circular motion. You let the mixture stay on your skin for up to 15 minutes before you rinse it off.

 

Lemon Sugar Scrub

 

To prepare this scrub, you need 1 cup of granulated white sugar, half a cup of extra virgin olive oil and 1 tablespoon of grated lemon zest. Yogurt Sugar Scrub

You combine the sugar and the Aloe Vera gel first, and then add in the olive oil and lastly the lavender essential oil to form a thick paste.

 

You can now apply this mixture over your face and body massaging in a gentle circular motion. You let this mixture stay on your skin for up to 15 minutes before you rinse it off. Aloe Vera gel is soothing for the skin and is good for healing sunburnt skin. The lavender essential oil is suitable for all types of skin.

 

Milk Sugar Scrub

 

To prepare this scrub, you will need 1 cup of brown sugar, 2 cups of powdered milk, 1 cup of extra virgin olive oil and 10 drops of lavender essential oil.

 

You mix the dry ingredients together first then add in the olive oil. After the mixture has reached the desired consistency, then you add in the lavender essential oil. When you include any essential oil in your homemade scrub, this should be added in at the last stage.

 

You can now massage the mixture all over your face and body (stay away on the area that is near to your eyes) in a gentle circular motion. You let the mixture stay on your skin for up to 15 minutes before you rinse it off.

 

Almond Sugar Scrub

 

To prepare this scrub, you will need one quarter cup of ground almond, half a cup of oatmeal, one quarter cup of brown sugar and 3 tablespoons of whole milk.

 

You mix the almond, oatmeal and brown sugar together and then you add in the milk to make a thick paste. You can now massage this paste all over your face and body in a gentle circular motion. Just be careful, not to let this paste contact your eyes. You let the mixture stay on your skin up to 15 minutes before you rinse it off.

 

Coffee Sugar Scrub

 

To make this scrub, you will need 1 teaspoon of ground coffee and 1 teaspoon of white granulated sugar. You mix the sugar and coffee and then add a little bit of water to make a thick, grainy paste.

 

You put some of the paste in your hands and gently rub and massage it onto your skin and face. Rinse it off with alternately lukewarm water and next with cold water; pat your skin dry with a clean towel. Finally tone and apply moisturizer
