While homemade egg facials are the best known, there are many other all-natural skin cleansers that you can easily whip up in the kitchen. Here are 8 recipes for homemade facials that will make your skin feel refreshed and beautiful

 

Apple Face Mask for Normal Skin

 

To make this face mask, you need 1 apple and 2 teaspoons raw organic honey (or manuka honey)

 

You will blend both ingredients together to create a smooth paste.  Apply the mask to your face and leave it on for 20 minutes.  Follow with rinsing first using lukewarm water and follow by cold water to close the skin pores and finish this with some moisturizer.

 

Banana Face Mask for Normal Skin

 

To prepare this mask, you need about half of a ripe banana and mash it to make a creamy paste. You simply apply this paste on your face and neck and let the mask stay on your face for at least 15 minutes.

 

After this, you wash off with lukewarm water and follow by cold water to close up the skin pores. You dry your face with a towel and put on some moisturizer.

 

Coffee Cocoa Face Mask for Normal Skin

 

To prepare this mask, you need 4 tablespoons of finely ground espresso or coffee beans, 4 tablespoons of unsweetened cocoa powder and 8 tablespoons of dairy product. You can choose whole milk, heavy cream, yogurt (must be unflavored!), almond milk or coconut milk. Use less dairy if you like a thicker paste.

 

If you have whole beans, finely grind beans in a grinder. Remember, beans should be finely ground so they don’t scratch your face. If you just made coffee, you can use the freshly brewed coffee grounds, although they won’t contain as much caffeine.

 

Mix coffee and cocoa powder in a bowl. Add the dairy product and stir until a smooth paste forms. Apply the paste to your clean face and neck. If you have sensitive skin, you should avoid rubbing your face because the coffee grounds could potentially scratch your skin. Let the mask dry.

 

Wet a washcloth and press it to your face to loosen the mask, and then rinse with lukewarm water follow this by cold water to close up the skin pores. Wipe your face dry with a towel and put on some moisturizer.

 

Egg White Face Mask for Normal Skin

 

To prepare this mask, you need 2 egg whites, separated from the yolk and placed in a bowl and 2 tablespoons of plain yogurt (preferably Greek yogurt).

 

You separate the egg whites from 2 eggs and place them in a bowl. Add 2 tablespoons of yogurt (do not use flavored yogurt!). Mix them up and apply to face.

 

Leave on face for at least 15 minutes then rinse face in lukewarm water, followed by cold water to close up the skin pores. Dry your face with a towel and put on some moisturizer.

 

Oatmeal Face Mask for Normal Skin

 

To prepare this mask, you need 1 tablespoon of oatmeal, finely ground, 1 tablespoon of live, organic yogurt (skip the flavored stuff) and 1 teaspoon of raw organic honey (or manuka honey).

 

You mixt the yogurt and oatmeal together in a small bowl and then add in the honey. You can apply the mask to the face and neck, while keeping clear of the area near to your eyes.

 

Leave it on for 15 minutes, and then rinse off with several splashes of lukewarm water. Follow with cold water treatment on your face to close up the skin pores so as to retain moisture in the skin. Wipe your face dry with a towel and put on some moisturizer.

 

Papaya Face Mask for Normal Skin

 

To prepare this mask, you need half a cup of mashed ripe papaya and 2 tablespoons of raw organic honey (or manuka honey). You mix both of the ingredients together to form a paste which you can apply all over your face and neck, but keep clear of the area near to your eyes.

 

You let the mask stay on your skin for at least 15 minutes. After this, you rinse off with lukewarm water and follow by cold water to close up the skin pores. Wipe your face dry with a towel and apply moisturizer.

 

Strawberry Face Mask for Normal Skin

 

To prepare this mask, you need 1 tablespoon unsalted butter, softened and 1 large strawberry, mashed. You mix both the above ingredients together and apply to face, leave on for 15 minutes and then wash face with lukewarm water follow next by cold water to close up the skin pores. Pat your face dry with a soft towel and put on some moisturizer.

 

Turmeric Face Mask for Normal Skin

 

To prepare this face mask, you need 2 tablespoons flour (used to thicken the paste), one quarter teaspoon turmeric powder and 1 teaspoon of raw organic honey (or manuka honey).

 

If you have oily skin, add in one quarter cup plain yogurt and 3 drops of lemon juice. If you have dry skin, add in 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil, almond oil or coconut oil.

 

You mix the flour and turmeric together. If you have oily skin, add lemon juice and stir. Slowly mix in the yogurt until a creamy paste is formed. Use more or less yogurt to your liking. If you have dry skin, add the oil slowly and stir until a paste is formed. Add more for more creaminess.

 

You can now apply mask to face and neck, keeping clear of the area near to your eyes. Leave the mask on for 15-20 minutes. Using a warm, wet washcloth that you don’t mind staining (turmeric will stain), rinse off the mask using lukewarm water and follow with cold water to close up the skin pores. Dry your face with a towel and put on some moisturizer.
