Tomato juice acts as a natural toner for your skin. Both lemon juice and yogurt act as natural bleaching agents. You may feel a tingling sensation caused by the tomato pulp but don’t be worried as this is normal and will soon subside.

 

You can also combine together two spoons of oatmeal with three spoons of buttermilk and apply it on your tanned skin. Now gently massage your skin in a circular motion and allow it to stay on for the next 20 minutes before you wash it out with cool water.

 

Oatmeal acts as a natural scrub to exfoliate your skin while buttermilk helps to soothe the skin. This will clear away the tanned dead skin and in the end you will have clear glowing skin.

 

Add half a teaspoon of glycerine to a mixture consisting of 1 tablespoon each of lemon and sugar. Apply this mixture on your face as a scrub and gently massage in an upward motion for about 10 minutes before you rinse off with water. You do this for once a week for getting rid of tanned skin.

 

You can prepare a paste for getting rid of tanned skin by adding equal quantity of milk powder, lemon juice, almond oil and raw organic honey (preferably manuka honey). Apply this paste on the affected portions for at least 20 minutes. If you have time, use it for 3 times a day for better results.

 

Sandalwood and turmeric are essential ingredients for getting rid of tanned skin. You create a paste by adding rose water to a mixture consisting of equal quantity of sandalwood and turmeric powder. Apply this paste on your face and let it dry and then wash off with water.

 

You can mix 3 tablespoons of milk with 1 tablespoon of lemon juice to create a thick, creamy paste and apply this on your face and wash off after 15 minutes.

 

You can also apply plain yogurt to your face for getting rid of tanned skin. To do this, you rub the yogurt to your skin in upward circular motions and let it dry before you rinse off.

 

You take 5 to 6 walnuts and grind them into powder and then add a little almond oil to it. Next you add in some milk and rose water to create a paste which you can spread it all over your tanned skin and wash off once it dries. You do this for every alternate day for 15 days for getting rid of tanned skin and restoring your skin back to its natural color.

 

You can crush one raw potato in the blender, add the juice of one lemon, and apply the mixture to the affected parts of your body like a facial mask. Let it dry for about 20 minutes, then rinse thoroughly in the shower.

 

You can get create an exfoliating body scrub by mixing together 4 tablespoons of lemon juice, one-third cup of yogurt and 2 tablespoons of gram flour in a bowl and stir them together to create a paste. You can add more flour until the mixture reaches the consistency of paste, which you can apply to the affected areas and rinse off after 20 minutes.

 
Here is another scrub recipe you can try. You combine 2 cups of sugar and 1 cup of extra virgin olive oil in a medium mixing bowl, using wooden spoon to mix thoroughly. Add a spoonful of honey and blend until the scrub seems smooth. You can add more honey until you reach a creamy texture. Add in one quarter cup of lemon juice and blend. Before you shower, you apply the scrub onto your skin, concentrating on the darkest areas, using a circular motion to exfoliate the top later of cells.

 

 

You can dip cotton balls into full-fat milk and gently run them all across your face. Avoid the eyes, mouth and nose. The lactic acid in the milk helps to fade a suntan. Let the milk dry before washing it off. For maximum effects, leave it on overnight and wash it off in the morning using a gentle cleanser and washcloth.

 

You can make your own gentle facial scrub for getting rid of tanned skin using oatmeal and water. Mix together oatmeal and water until it’s a paste-like consistency. Use the pads of your fingers to gently rub the paste in circles on the face for approximately 30 seconds. Wash off with cool water.

 

When the tan is a couple of shades too dark on a large area or the entire body, you can apply a layer of baby oil all over the affected area, wait a few minutes, and then take a bath and use a washcloth to gently exfoliate.
