Have you heard about Argan Oil? No? Argan oil has a distinctive golden hue and doesn’t smell good but you can look for deodorized Argan oil if you can’t bear the smell. It is a bit thicker than many carrier oils but it gets absorbed very quickly. Argan oil is extracted from the seeds produced by the Argan tree which is located only at the partial desert areas in south western Morocco.

The Argan tree survives for about 150-200 years and does not produce fruit until it is 30 to 50 years old. As the tree is found in limited number of regions, the oil is also considered a rarity. The oil from its seeds takes a considerable time to extract (would easily take days just to create a liter of the argan oil) and is used both for culinary and cosmetic purposes.

The extraction of oil from the seeds is done mostly by Berber females in Morocco who will do their utmost to maintain Argan oil in its most natural and purest form. Moroccan argan oil is a truly miracle oil that has been used by Berber women in Morocco as a beauty supplement.

It can be used as cooking oil, a substitute for butter, and a salad dressing. The addition of argan oil helps produce tantalizingly flavorful scents and savory food dishes. This makes it quite versatile.

Daily use of this oil can provide you a healthy-heart and also healthy lifestyle as it provides essential nutrients to the body. It is also very useful in helping to reduce and prevent the malignant cells in the body of people who are suffering from cancer. Therefore it is good for your body inside and out.

Argan oil is made up of 80% of essential fatty acids, which work wonders for your skin and overall health. It is also rich in Vitamin E, containing three times more vitamin E than olive oil. It is precisely because of this vitamin E and natural antioxidants content that Argan oil lasts a lot longer than any other oil.

The healing properties of argan oil make it effective in treating skin condition such as eczema. If you are after healthier, younger looking skin then you definitely want to look into using this nutrient enriched oil on a daily basis.

Argan oil is popularly known as liquid gold, as it offers plenty of health benefits. It is well known for its anti-aging components and scar removing ability. Due to its ability to remove and heal scars, it is also used by women during and after pregnancy to treat stretch marks.

Because of its extremely high content of amino acids, antioxidants and vitamin E, Argan oil can help treat brittle nails, prevent and help fight acne and breakouts, repair dry and damaged skin by improving moisture absorption and retention. The oil also helps to moisturize the skin to ensure the skin stays healthy.

If you experience weak and brittle hair, it would be wise choice to incorporate Argan oil into your hair care, as it would restore its natural shine and elasticity. Another benefit is that the Argan Oil works as a deep conditioner. This not only makes your hair shinier, but it also increases its volume making it more bouncy and healthy.

Argan Oil also acts as a protective layer to the strands of your hair. This is important especially if you cannot avoid heat styling. It will protect your hair from breakage and further damage. Regular use of this type of hair treatment has been proven to result in healthier hair due to its restorative properties.

Due to the fact that it is completely natural and organic and can work miraculously to smoothen skin wrinkles, to slow down and to reverse the effect of aging; it has gained popularity with many companies making products using Argan oil, such as makeup, facial cream, body lotion, body wash, shampoo, conditioner and other hair care products. Pure and organic Moroccan argan oil is the key to effectiveness of these products.

Don’t buy cooking grade Argan oil for skin care, because the cooking grade type of Argan oil is roasted and refined which reduces its effectiveness as a skin care product.

You should insist on buying only cold pressed pure argan oil, undiluted, without additives or preservatives. This is because pure argan oil (which is also called organic argan oil or Moroccan argan oil) is most likely to be produced ethically by Berber woman in fair trade cooperatives.

Skin care may not come cheap. If you want to look young you need a wrinkle cream and a stretch mark product. You might also need an eye cream, and you certainly want to get a moisturizer, or even to use cosmetic argan oil.

If you are among the millions of consumers worldwide who want to look young, most likely some of these products should play an important role in your daily skin care ritual. Good skin care products can help you stay young and look beautiful while you use them.

One of the popular personal care products sweeping the cosmetic world nowadays is the argan oil that is harvested from the seeds of argan tree, native to Morocco. The Berber women of Morrocco have used argan oil in skin care and in hair care for over 3,500 years for its moisturizing, nourishing and protective properties.

The product is argan oil, of which Skinception Cold Pressed Cosmetic Argan Oil might be of interest to you.

Argan Oil

From the ancient argan tree (Argania spinosa) and grown in a small, UNESCO protected biosphere in south-western Morocco, argan oil has been used for millennia, originally by the ancient Phoenicians, for its nutritional, medicinal and cosmetic properties.

Argan oil is rich in Tocopherols (Vitamin E), Phenols, Caotenes, Squalenem, Fatty acids, Caffeic acid, Oleuropein, Vanillic acid. It is a popular and affordable natural skin care product. It has wide usages for your daily routine, just like the multi-task Swiss Army knife.

Of the things argan oil can do, consider that it can:

(1)        moisturize the skin

(2)        stop premature aging

(3)        fight wrinkles

(4)        reduce stretch marks

(5)        treat sun damage

(6)        condition your hair

Argan oil can be used as cooking oil, just like olive oil. But argan cooking oil is different from argan cosmetic oil in the sense that argan cooking oil needs to go through a roasting process which may result in some loss of its essential fatty acids and vitamin. Cosmetic argan oil is actually unroasted argan oil, which preserves the integrity of its essential fatty acids and vitamins.

As a Moisturizer

Argan oil is an excellent moisturizer, for your face and your body. It does not contain any dangerous chemicals or parabens which are commonly found in many skin care products.

For Your Face – The fatty acids in Argan oil improve the moisture content and thus protect delicate skin. Argan oil can replace your night cream giving you a glowing and smooth skin in morning when washed. After cleaning your face at night, massage a few drops of argan oil directly onto your face in a circular motion with your middle or ring finger (they’re weaker than your index finger and less likely to tear).

After a few days, you should see a noticeable difference in your facial skin. When that happens, double up on your argan efforts. You can use it in the morning, as a base for your make up or as a general facial moisturizer, and again in the evening after you have washed up. Apply it with the same method, with the same fingers.

The Vitamin E in argan oil helps in preventing from cellular aging and brings nourishment to the cell, while its antioxidant compounds protect the skin from UV radiations and inhibit the oxidation of bad cholesterol. Argan oil therefore helps in reducing wrinkles and acne scars.

Argan can even treat chapped lips.

For Your Body – To treat stretch marks, you can apply argan to the affected areas of your body after you have finished bathing. You can use argan oil for a full body moisturizer by mixing argan oil with your regular body lotion, or just using argan by itself. Apply the oil right after you get out of your shower for best moisturizing results. Argan oil hydrates the skin and makes it plump and gives it elasticity, thus making it one of the best anti-aging products.

Remember also that sun damage is a leading cause of wrinkles. Argan helps with that as well. Simply add argan oil to your body after you have gone under the sun. Just don’t add it before you go out in the sun. For that you need a Broad Spectrum sunscreen.

As a Beauty Product

Argan Oil is nourishing to the body, always gentle, and leaves no oily residue.

If you want to use argan oil for your skin care, you should choose one like Skinception Cold Pressed Cosmetic Argan Oil. You can be rest assured that the product is completely pure, without any additives or those toxic parabens which can increase the risk of breast cancer.

For Your Nails – Argan can strengthen your nails, making them less brittle and less likely to break off. To do this, mix equal parts argan and lemon juice, and then you soak your nails in the solution for at least 15 minutes. This is great for your cuticles and should give your nails a healthy glow.

For Your Hair – Argan oil adds moisture and a little shine to your hair. It is also good for natural hair growth, which means guys with hair loss should consider using argan oil to promote hair growth. For damaged hair, you apply a generous amount of argan oil to your hair, starting at the ends, then wrap your hair in a warm towel after it is completed coated in oil. Leave the towel in place for at least 30 minutes or overnight. Then wash and style as usual.

For dandruff and dry scalp, massage your scalp with argan oil. Do this once or twice a week. As for frizzy hair, you can rub one or two drops of argan oil between your palms and scrunch into the ends.

Try Skinception Cold Pressed Cosmetic Argan Oil

If you are looking for safe natural skin and hair care solution that will not give you any side effects, you should seriously consider argan oil, and remember this: buy it pure, and preferably not from the big labels.

What are the reasons for doing that? Well, the big guys sometimes dilute pure argan with additives that diminish its beauty properties. Even though production of argan oil is done in a very specific region in Morocco, by the women of that area, some of these major labels manufacture argan in large factories in Casablanca, which brings very little or no benefit to the women who made it.

Therefore you should buy argan oil from a smaller skin care label. They are more likely to manufacture argan using the traditional method, which is by hand and undertaken by Moroccan women (who have perfected the technique over thousands of years) in a fair trade co-operative, where they are paid competitive wages which give the women and their families better health care and educational opportunities.

You should give a try for Skinception Cold Pressed Cosmetic Argan Oil, which is argan in its purest state and manufactured in a fair trade co-op. This comes with the name recognition of a respected label and 24/7 customer support. This should give a good peace for your mind, and this product is backed by a no risk 60 day money back guarantee.

Why You Should ONLY Buy Pure Argan Oil

You should insist on buying only pure argan oil, undiluted, without additives or preservatives. Diluted argan oil with preservatives can degrade the product of its antioxidant content. This will reduce its effectiveness as a cosmetic treatment.

How does being ethical sound to you? To many consumers, this often-repeated term is a catch-all phrase for products and technologies that are deemed sustainable, which in itself is a common phrase used to refer to products that are made with minimal exploitation of humans, animals or the environment.

Argan oil is plant-derived oil extracted from the kernels of the Argania tree of Morocco, which is valued for its cosmetic, therapeutic and medicinal properties.

Argan oil can be regarded as multi-purpose oil in the natural skin care industry, because of its wide usage in treating a variety of ailments, including acne, wrinkles, dry skin, psoriasis and eczema. Besides its application in skin care, Argan also makes an effective hair conditioner and is often used to strengthen finger nails.

How is Pure Argan oil being produced?

Argan oil has been used for at least 3,500 years in what is today Morocco. In ancient times, the argania tree, from which it derives, covered much of North Africa, and the Berber people developed a process to extract argan that changed little until the 20th century.

To extract argan oil, the Berber women would collect the ripe argan fruit around June which is to be dried in the open air after which the flesh of the fruit is then peeled off and to get the argan nut. The next stage involves cracking the argan nut by hand between two stones to obtain the argan kernels or seeds. Attempts to mechanize this process have been unsuccessful, thus making it a time-consuming and labour-intensive process.

If the argan oil is to be used for cooking, the women would roast the kernels at the temperature of 100 degree Celsius to enhance the flavor of the oil (argan for cosmetic use often skips this step), which they would grind in a stone quern to produce an oily paste.

Until recently, Berber women would typically squeeze the paste in between their hands to extract the oil, and then decant into bottle to be left to rest for 2 weeks. After this the oil is filtered to remove any impurities.

But in the early 1990s, the European cosmetics industry noted the high antioxidant content of argan and its many beauty and skin applications, automated the extraction process and set up factories in Casablanca that monopolized production.

Pure Argan Oil and Fair Trade Production

Due to the increase in demand and popularity for argan oil as a cosmetic treatment in the late 20th century, the traditional method of argan oil extraction which were mainly done by Berber women is been replaced by large scale commercial production done in modern factories, located at hundreds of miles away from the arganeraie region.

But the modern method of argan oil extraction results in a loss of quality control, to say nothing about the loss of economic benefits of argan oil to the Berber peoples who performed the process over thousands of years.

Around this time, a study by the German Government Development Agency (GTZ) chronicled the plight facing the Berber women, often falsely portrayed by major argan oil producers as having played a large role in argan oil production and benefiting greatly from this economic activity, when in reality, the women received little benefit from surging argan oil sales, and the actual effectiveness of the product for skin and hair care becoming diluted in the process.

In the light of this development, in 1995 the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development and the GTZ worked closely with the Moroccan authorities to transfer argan oil production back to Berber women who will work in fair trade cooperatives where they will be fairly treated in the form of enjoying competitive wages and flexible working conditions so that they and their children can have better health and education opportunities.

In addition, another objective was to develop a sustainable production process, in which the argan tree was protected, and the region designated a nature reserve, to prevent further degradation of the relatively small growing area.

To support this effort in protecting the Argan forest, UNESCO had designated the arganeraie region as a protected biosphere in 1998. Since then, bulk of the argan oil production has shifted back to Berber women, now active in these co-ops that provide economic protection and benefits to the traditional makers of this rare oil.

How You Can Help as a Consumer

As a consumer, you should be aware of those larger skin care manufacturers that dilute argan oil with preservatives which can degrade the product of its antioxidant content. This will reduce its effectiveness as a cosmetic treatment. Moreover such argan oil products are mostly made in factories in Casablanca, with very little benefit flowing to the Berber women and their families.

Due to this reason, you should insist on buying only pure argan oil, undiluted, without additives or preservatives. This is because pure argan oil (which is also called organic argan oil or Moroccan argan oil) is most likely to be produced ethically by Berber woman.

ONLY buy cosmetic argan oil from small or mid-sized skin care companies. Though they may be more expensive than products from the big labels, but what you are getting is of the highest grade argan oil. Such high quality argan oil is mostly to be made by the knowledgeable Berber women, in a fair trade co-op, with the economic benefits to reflect that endeavour.

As a suggestion, you might try Skinception Cold-Pressed Cosmetic Argan Oil, which meets the prerequisites listed above, and which offers the cosmetic benefits of this revered oil product with the promise that it was made ethically, by the Berber women, in a fair trade co-op.

Skin Care Benefits of Argan Oil

The health and beauty benefits of Argan oil leave no doubt as to why people regard it as “miracle oil”. If you are looking to use Argan oil for natural skin care purpose, you should buy Argan oil in its pure state in order to get the maximum benefits and effect.

Do you wish to diminish those wrinkles, crow’s feet, and the ones lines around the eyes? Would you would like to rejuvenate, and provides the actual skin a wholesome new glow? Have the will to grant your hair and nails an attractive, new healthy sheen? Here in this article we will discuss various skin care benefits of Argan oil.

What is Argan oil?

Argan oil is extracted from the kernels of the Argan tree, with yields varying from 30% to 55% depending on the extraction method used.

Argan oil is one of the most beneficial and precious cosmetic oil around the world. It is also very beneficial for the healthy skin, functioning of the body, hair and nails.

Among other ailments, Argan oil is an effective treatment for dry skin, psoriasis, eczema, wrinkles, stretch marks and acne.

Argan oil has become increasingly popular for cosmetic use, because it is particularly gentle on the skin, and for this reason, is recommended for consumers with naturally dry skin and/or sensitivities to common skin care products.

Where does argan oil come from?

Argan oil comes from a 10,000 square mile UNESCO-protected biosphere in south-western Morocco, and can only be extracted from trees grown in this area. The Argan tree lives to be about 150 to 200 years old and does not start producing the fruit until it is 30 to 50 years old.

For centuries women of the Berber tribe in Morocco have used Argan Oil as a wonder cosmetic, an important nutritional supplement, and even as a favorite ingredient in foods. The oil was traditionally processed by hand, in a laborous process, in which a single litre of the oil took two days of manual labor.

In the early 1990s, argan oil production shifted from the Berber people to modern factories in Casablanca, though government agencies and NGOs have redirected much argan production back to the Berber women.

What is inside Argan oil that makes it effective for anti-aging?

Argan has at least 200% more vitamin E than olive oil. This makes Argan Oil an intense antioxidant that slows aging and encourages improved health and a younger looking you. Vitamin E prevents the evaporation of moisture from the epidermis in skin.

Argan Oil also contains essential Unsaturated Fatty Acids that are at the very core of keeping your skin and hair young and naturally repairing damaged hair and tissues.

Argan Oil also contains these very powerful natural ingredients:

(a) Prostaglandins – an anti-inflammatory promoting cell development and growth
(b) Polyphenols – has a strong effect on everything from anti-aging to fighting allergies
(c) Ferulic Acid – very prevalent in Argan Oil; powerful anti-oxidant fighting aging
(d) Carotenoids – protect skin from ultra violet radiation, free radicals, and a barrier to arthritis
(e) Sterols – promotes healthy skin, reduces inflammation, helps a host of afflictions, ailments, diseases.
(f) Squalene – promotes cell growth, absorbs toxins and excretes them from your body, and much more

The Vitamin E, sterols and essential fatty acids in Argan oil work individually and cooperatively to enhance the skin’s overall health, improve its youthful appearance and are known to help with the natural healing of some dermatological conditions.

Does Argan have other applications?

Argan oil makes an effective hair conditioner. You can add argan to your hair, whether wet or dry, and it’s an ideal remedy for dry hair or split ends. Experiment a little; a few drops can add shine to hair and improve its appearance.

If you’re dealing with dry scalp, apply some Argan oil to a cotton ball and dab your scalp with the oil. If you do this before bed, you’ll give the oil plenty of time to moisturize your scalp before you wash your hair in the morning.

You can also use Argan oil to strengthen your nails if they are prone to cracking and peeling. Mix one part each Argan oil and lemon juice, paint it on your nails with a brush and leave it on for fifteen minutes.

You can use Argan oil for a full body moisturizer, applying just as you would a body lotion or cream. Apply the oil right after you get out of your shower for best moisturizing results.

In addition, Argan oil can be used for cooking that is good for sprinkling in salads, dipping bread in and used in many dishes, though cosmetic Argan is made with a different process than product meant for cooking and should therefore be used for that purpose only.

Are there side effects with Argan oil?

Argan oil is very safe. In fact, it’s recommended for people with skin sensitivities and irritations to common skin care products. There are no known side effects with Argan oil, but if you have specific concerns regarding Argan, it is best to speak with your physician.

What has Argan oil gotten to do with fair trade?

Through efforts from two German government agencies and several non-government organizations, much production of Argan oil has shifted away from modern, foreign-controlled factories in Casablanca and large cities and back to the fair trade co-operatives in which Berber women extract and process Argan oil in their traditional manner, with competitive wages, flexible working conditions, health care and educational opportunities.

But there are still quite a lot of Argan oil products that are mass-produced outside of these women co-operatives. In particular, most of these products consist of preservatives that can dilute the natural benefits of Argan oil.

Should I buy pure Argan oil or just an Argan-based product?

You should buy Argan oil in its pure state because this preserves the integrity of the beneficial nutrients in Argan oil, for maximum benefits, be they cosmetic or otherwise.

Additionally, pure Argan oil is more likely to have been processed in a fair trade cooperative than by a factory and/or a manufacturer that claims to share the benefits of Argan production with local Berber women but fails to do so.

Look for an Argan oil product that is manufactured by a small or mid-sized skin care company. They are more likely to get the Argan oil from a fair trade co-op, than those larger brands. Look for a commitment from the company that the Argan oil it gets has been extracted and processed in an ethical manner in a fair trade cooperative. One example – Skinception Cold Pressed Cosmetic Argan Oil!

What is Argan Oil and why is it the perfect natural skin care supplement?

Argan oil is an extract of the Argan tree that once covered much of North Africa. Today the tree is endangered, and grows only in south western Morocco. Because each Argan tree can only produce one litre of oil, it is both rare and highly prized.

Argan oil consists of major biochemical components which are recognized for their health benefits.  It has been proven as being the most effective beauty oil on the market, for all facial, hair, nail and body care. Rich in vitamin E, it is especially recommended for dry or aging skins.

This oil has lots of useful properties for skin care. You can use Argan oil to treat split ends in your hair, fade stretch marks, strengthen finger nails, and reduce wrinkles and those fine lines from the sun.

It is natural antioxidant to reduce the effect of free radicals and also prevent the fragile soft tissues of the face. This oil includes all essential nutrients and fatty acids such as linoleic acid and utilized for cosmetic products and skin care from many years.

This oil provides lots of other advantages such as reduction in signs of early ageing. Argan oil stimulates the renewal of skin cell and also helps you to fight against the effects of aging cause by prolonged exposure under the sun, pollution, smoking and stress. It is also very beneficial in treating wrinkles on the face and body and helps you to soothe the skin soft.

It is also shown by some scientific studies that this oil is very effective in an increase in skin elasticity and tightens it with the daily use of this oil. It includes high content of vitamin E, which increases healthy skin and it is also very useful in treating eczema. Argan oil is therefore one of the most effective natural treatments for all types of skin problems.

This oil is very versatile and it can also be used for treating common skin problems like acne. Acne is one of the skin disorders, which is caused by the excess production of sebum (natural oil) in the sebaceous glands. Oils from the glands merge with the dead skin cells to clog hair follicles. Skin bacteria can then develop very speedily under such condition. Argan oil can stop the overproduction of sebum and lessen the occurrence of acne.

What does Argan Oil consist of?

A closer look at Argan oil reveals traces of:

Vitamin E (Tocopherol) – A powerful antioxidant, vitamin E reduces harmful free radicals and protects the skin from sun damage, chemicals and pollution. Vitamin E also improves the skin’s ability to retain and use water.

Essential Fatty Acids – They keep your cells healthy and your skin plump, with the ability to re-form after stretching.

Oleic and Linoleic Acid – They are essential for their anti-inflammatory properties and to help heal the skin.

Squalene Oil – With similar functions to olive oil, squalene oil is a natural moisturizer, a powerful healer and is ideal for people with eczema and psoriasis.

Should you use Argan Oil?

If you are looking for a safe and effective natural skin care solution, you should be looking for Argan oil in its purest form.

If you have dry skin, sensitivities to common skin care products, frizzy hair, wrinkles or stretch marks, or a general interest in natural skin care, then yes, then you should use Argan oil.
