Acne is basically an internal condition triggered by several underlying factors, one of which is the changes in hormone levels which cause an excessive production of body oil.

However, we still have to deal with the external acne symptoms that may enhance the formation of acne or interfere with the healing process of your existing acne on the external level (e.g. the external acne environment).

If we do not deal with these external triggers by means of proper acne facial care, it will reduce the effectiveness of our acne treatment regimen. This is especially so when the holistic treatment is performed while the individual still suffers from “live” and “evolving” acne.

Clogged or very large pores, oily or very dry complexion and bad skin hygiene do not cause acne by themselves. However, they can affect the pace of the healing of the skin and make your skin more prone or “susceptible” to acne.

For this reason, we need to have an acne facial care regimen which will include some simple and easy to follow procedures that will enhance the healing process of your existing acne and balance your skin PH levels, making it smooth, even toned, radiant and healthy looking.

It is important to wash your face gently. Don’t scrub your face. This will make it worse as it can spread your acne to other parts of your skin.  The best is to wash your face for ONLY twice per day (once in the morning and once before bed) to remove the surface oil and makeup that can contribute to acne.

Excessive washing of the face can cause mild to moderate irritations and increase redness and inflammation, defeating its own purpose. Over-washing can at the same time wash away the essential oil, making your skin very dry. If the skin is too dry, it will actually produce more oil to further complicate acne.

Get a gentle cleanser that will remove surface oils and makeup without stripping and disrupting your natural PH. You can use a gentle antiseptic and anti-bacterial 100% natural soap like tea tree oil soap or Cetaphil soap to help reduce inflammation, swelling and redness.

Using a gentle cleanser as part of the acne facial care routine will significantly improve the overall appearance of your skin without the irritation, allergy reactions and over-dryness that over the counters like Benzoyl Peroxide can cause.

Washing your face should always come after a good 5 minutes steaming routine. After the steaming, follow these 3 easy steps:

1. Wet your soap with lukewarm water.

2. Apply the soap to your face using your fingertips in a circular motion.

3. Wash your face gently and dry your skin using a cotton towel.

To keep your skin moist, you can do so internally through balancing oil secretion protocols and dietary changes and supplementation, including the regular intake of 10 glasses of pure water on a daily basis.

To moisturize your skin externally, you can apply some good quality moisturizer such as 99% Aloe Vera gel while avoiding those harsh and un-natural external care products that can significantly reduce your dryness.
If your skin is too oily (due to hormonal imbalance), you can deal with this problem by using a soap like Neutrogena clear pore oil Controlling astrigent or even better apply an all-natural mask made of bentonitre or egg whites. Do not use alcohol and water astringent as this may irritate your skin.

If you have sensitive skin, the best practice is to test each product (regardless of its quality or the nature of its ingredients) before using it, by applying a small amount of it on your chin to see if there is any allergic reaction.

Acne Skin Care: 10 Things You Should Never Do To Your Face

Skin care is very important and this is especially so for acne sufferers. Practising good acne skin care will pave the way to an enhanced healing of the skin. Your skin will look and feel better; it will become more even toned and vibrant.

On the other hand, if you are doing the following things, you will weaken the natural protecting capabilities of your skin. This will slow down the healing process of your skin, thus making your skin look bad and making your acne worse:

1. Smoking

Besides causing lung cancer and heart disease, smoking is never good for your skin. Not only it can cause early aging of your skin (e.g. wrinkles), smoking also causes the contraction of the small capillaries and blood vessels of the skin.

This will deprive your skin of oxygen which is essential for the creation and maintenance of healthy cells. The Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology has performed studies that show a correlation between smoking and post-adolescent acne.

2. Using Topical Steroids

Over the counter or prescription cortisone based creams, especially the potent types, can eventually thin your skin and worsen your acne condition. In the long run besides giving you skin irritation; those steroid creams can also cause skin redness and other side effects.

Moreover, such products only address the symptoms of acne (inflammation, itching, and puss); they do not treat its root cause. Nevertheless, taking care of your skin externally is highly recommended but should be performed gently using pure natural ingredients such as diluted tea tree oil.

3. Taking Antibiotics

Antibiotic treatments like tetracycline can aggravate your acne in the long run and do severe damage to your internal system, by indiscriminately destroy all the bacteria in your system including the good and probiotic bacteria.

One of these essential bacteria called acidophilus play an important role in promoting clear skin. One of its capabilities is the ability to protect your digestive tract from parasites and fungus (that constantly stress and damage your liver, one of the most important organs responsible for the healing process of your skin).

4. Shaving with Four-In-One Razor blades

You should never use those four-in-one razor blades when shaving especially if you have large bumps and painful cysts. This is because reason these blades can increase the likelihood of severe irritation and skin damage. Instead, use a single blade when having “live” acne.

During shaving, you shave downward, in the direction of growth of the hair follicles, to prevent irritation. After shaving, skip the splash of cologne or alcohol-based aftershave, which can irritate your skin — not to mention leave you in agony if you have any open cuts or recently popped pimples.

5. Picking, popping and squeezing your skin

You should never ever touch, pick or squeeze your blemishes. By doing so, you can only make your acne get worse by aggravating your existing inflammation and pushing the puss deeper and wider into the skin. Moreover, the germs on your fingers and nails can cause infections, making acne symptoms like cysts larger in size and therefore giving you more risk of developing larger scars.

There are in fact some very effective and safe ways of dealing with small whiteheads or blackheads but it will be much better to leave this task to the professionals if you care for your skin and wish to prevent further scarring.

6. Taking excessive amounts of Vitamin A

Taking Vitamin A from natural sources (green leafy vegetables and beta carotene fruit and veggies) in moderate amount can significantly enhance the healing process of your skin. But when taken excessively it can seriously damage your liver and cause severe health problems and side effects.

7. Use over the counters for your Rosacea

Taking over the counter products can make your skin red and irritating is definitely not something you want to do when you are suffering from rosacea. If you suffer from rosacea, always consult your dermatologist prior to applying over the counters on your already inflamed and highly sensitive skin.

8. Over-wash your face

It is indeed true that one of the causes of acne is clogged pores. But scrubbing your skin with a harsh cleanser several times a day isn’t the best skincare, and it could make your problem worse.

Washing frequently or with harsh chemicals damages your delicate skin cells and dries out your skin. This reduces your skin’s ability to fight infections. Plus, it just won’t look as healthy. Dermatologists recommend washing no more than twice a day with warm water and a mild soap made just for people with acne.

9. Wearing heavy make-up

Avoid heavy makeup as it clogs your pores and adds to acne problem. If you want to apply make-up, you should only use those that are should be non-greasy, non-comedogenic (or non-acnegenic), hypoallergenic, non-irritating, and oil-free. These types of products won’t clog your pores and they’re better for acne-affected skin.

Look for those mineral-based cosmetics contain added ingredients like silica, titanium dioxide, and zinc oxide, which both absorb oil and hide redness without irritating skin and causing pimples.

Another ingredient to look for is dimethicone, which also conceals redness while smoothing out uneven skin. Before going to bed, make sure you wash away those make-up to allow your skin to ‘breathe’, which help in the healing process.

10. Getting under the sun

When you are undergoing acne treatment, your skin will be highly sensitive. Sunlight dries out the skin, extracting the moisture from the skin pores, causing irritation on the affected area. Moreover, if you get burned too long by the sun, you can get premature lines and wrinkles and increase your risk of skin cancer.

Use a sun block, if you cannot avoid exposure to sun. Get a broad-spectrum sunscreen with an SPF of at least 30 that protects against both UVA and UVB light. A water-based or light liquid-based gel or spray-on sunscreen is best for people who tend to get breakouts.

You can also look for light lotions and powder sunscreens. Look for “noncomedogenic” on the label, which means it should not clog your skin’s pores. Watch out for chemicals such as PABA and benzophenone, which can irritate sensitive skin. Look for physical sunscreens that contain zinc oxide or titanium dioxide.

Why treating acne naturally is the best way?

The secret for permanent clear skin is by way of treating acne naturally. This is done by neutralizing all the factors that form the acne environment while keeping the p. acne bacteria at an optimal balance.

Do acne bacteria cause acne?  What is the true connection between acne bacteria and acne formation?  Why acne is more than just a skin deep problem? Why treating acne naturally is the best approach?

The truth about acne bacteria

What most people don’t realize is that propionibacterium acnes, or p acne bacteria, do not actually cause acne. Everyone has acne bacteria on their skin.  P acne bacteria, like other essential bacteria in our bodies, is beneficial to us.

This bacterium plays an important role in sustaining our inner balance and the health of our skin. It defends the body against invasion by harmful bacteria. Acne bacteria feed themselves from the secretions of our sweat and sebaceous glands, and in a balanced biological state, sustains the flexibility of our skin.
What actually triggers acne?
It is important to know that it is not acne bacteria that cause acne. It is the changes in the environment of the skin that triggers acne. Acne forms when there is excessive production of sebum (human oil) on the skin. This excessive production of oil is triggered mainly by hormonal imbalance.

When this excess oil is mixed with congested toxins which are expelled through your skin, this will create an environment for acne bacteria to multiply rapidly in numbers.  The P. acne multiplies by feeding themselves on this mixture of toxins and excess oil.

In the process of digesting these enzymes, the acne bacteria will produce free fatty acids that irritate the skin. This triggers the body’s defence mechanism which often causes an inflammatory response. This condition results in the familiar symptoms of acne: swelling, pus, whiteheads, nodules and pustules.

Why treating acne naturally is more effective?
Due to the above reason, just killing the acne bacteria using antibiotics is not going to work in treating acne. Taking antibiotic can worsen the situation because it will also indiscriminately kill the good bacteria in our body. This will upset the natural balance of the P.acne in our body, and facilitates the invasion of harmful bacteria to skin.

Constant intake of antibiotics such as benzoyl peroxide, tetracycline or minocycline will eventually cause the p.acne to become resistant to antibiotics. This is not going to do anything to stop the environment that caused the P.acne to multiply.

The only way to stop acne permanently is to neutralize the acne environment (when the bacteria multiply by feeding on the mixture of toxins and excess oil). To stop acne, you must therefore treat the root causes of toxins and hormonal imbalance, which is why treating acne naturally, is more effective.

The secret for permanent clear skin is therefore, neutralizing all the factors that form the acne environment while keeping the p. acne bacteria at an optimal balance.

Can acne be cured fast, effective, safe and without much effort? Is there really any revolutionary and super effective acne treatment that has been overlooked by the medical establishment that can get rid of acne in days?

The recent proliferation of quick fix acne treatments, miracle cures, and instant acne formulas, has caused great confusion and doubt to consumers about whether these alternatives are actually worth their hopes and hard earned cash. Can there be a super easy to follow and quick acne treatment that shows results fast?

The difference between simple and easy

If someone has mild to moderate acne that is caused by allergy to certain foods, then they are often able to clear their acne very quickly and easily. All they have to do is make adjustments to their diet by eliminating the consumption of acne-aggravating foods and very often they are able to get marvellous results.
With that distinction made, let me state very clearly here that achieving permanent clear skin is never really “easy”. You have to be very disciplined and willing to make an effort in order to get worthwhile achievement. Continuously looking for an easier way, a fairy tale quick fix, a miracle cure, a holy grail, is a misguided quest and it will lead you nowhere.

Though curing acne is very simple, but it is never easy. Can you see the big difference between simple and easy?  Simple means the process is not complicated – if you just persistently do the necessary steps, you will definitely get the desired result. Easy implies that something can be done without you making much effort. Anyone who tells you they have found an “easy” or “very quick” way to clear acne is simply lying to you. Don’t fall for such scams!

You can only reap what you sow

Achieving permanent clear skin requires two things:

1) You have to make an effort to follow through the acne treatment regimen

2) You must be patient and not to expect quick results

The problem with a lot of people is that they are not interested in anything that appears to involve some work. They always want to look for short cuts. Very often, they fall for something that promises to cure their acne “quickly,” “easily,” “effortlessly,” “while they sleep,” and so on.

Make no mistake; people who are acne prone and have beautiful clear skin, especially celebrities and famous models, have invested a lot of effort to get to where they are. What you don’t know is behind the flawless complexions that famous people have, is a lot of sacrifice to achieve that.

There is no such thing as free lunch wanting to get something for nothing. Your acne will fade away and your skin will become clear and glowing in direct proportion to how much effort you have put in. You can only reap what you sow.

An effective acne treatment program must have the following five crucial elements:

1. Internal and external cleansing

2. Internal strengthening and rejuvenating

3. Hormonal balancing

4. Lifestyle optimization

5. Goal setting and motivation

Except for people with acne that is due to food allergies, it is very difficult (if not impossible) in most cases to achieve permanent clear skin in days and without effort.

So there you have it. There is a solution right in front of you. Though it is simple (just follow the procedures) but it is not often easy. From here you will have to decide what you want to do with your acne and your health. Like everything, in the end, it all depends on the kind of choices you make.

Is there Any Natural Acne Cure that Works Permanently?

The natural acne cure approach focuses first on tackling the root causes of your acne besides adopting a healthy lifestyle so that your acne will cease to torment you and you will get to feel as healthy and attractive as ever!
Click HERE To Learn More About Natural Acne Cure

Is there such a thing like natural acne cure or is it just some kind of a fad or gimmick? Is there a permanent acne cure or is all acne sufferers condemned to face the ugly reality for the rest of their lives? Is there any real, natural and safer alternative to those endless uses of over the counter products and to the unpleasant side affects you experience from using those conventional drugs, creams and topical acne treatments?

Most dermatologists and other strong believers of western medicine have already answered that controversial question by claiming that acne is incurable. Why are they so sure about this?
Well, there are 2 reasons for that:

1. The first reason is that most dermatologists have no idea what the real cause of acne is. It’s rather hard to believe but true. They know very clearly what are the normal symptoms of acne and they are very good in treating these ‘skin deep’ symptoms, but very unlucky to those chronic acne sufferers they cannot tell you exactly what are the root causes of your acne in the first place.

2. The second reason is pure vested interests. Most doctors collude with the pharmaceutical and drug companies which have no interest in finding the permanent cure for acne suffers.

Drug companies are not interested in curing you once and for all because this will mean no more repeated sales for them later on. What they will do is to come out with drugs, creams or pills that just only alleviate the symptoms, so that acne sufferers will keep coming back for them. This will create drug dependency on the part of chronic acne sufferers and a good steady flow of recurrent income for the drug companies.

By applying medications and creams that deal merely with the symptoms while ignoring the source or the internal cause of the disease, acne will never be cured. So, that is the dirty truth on how drug companies extract huge profits. This not only happens to acne. Don’t ever count on drug companies to get you the permanent cure for those chronic illnesses such as diabetes or high blood pressure or even AIDS!
Without eliminating the root causes of your acne condition, you will never get rid of your acne permanently. Without addressing the internal cause of your acne, what you get is just temporary relief. You can be sure your acne will keep coming back until you do something fundamental to eradicate the cause from within.

In most cases, every disease is the result of something that is not functioning well within your body. All major diseases and chronic conditions are warning signs of something very fundamentally wrong inside.

The very surprising truth is that you are lucky for having acne. Acne, like those minor ailments such as constant headaches, irritable bowel syndrome or dandruffs is only a small message your body send to you to inform you that something is wrong internally and should be addressed and corrected as soon as you can before it gets worse.

Now that you know acne is not just a skin-deep problem there are two choices you can make – you can:

1.Ignore that message – big mistake!  You shouldn’t! The internal imbalance that triggers the outbreak of your acne will, in most cases, turn into a chronic condition. Now instead of just having acne you may start to experience other hormonal imbalance or toxic overload related symptoms. If you don’t fix the internal problem, the disease symptoms can only get more and more intense.

2. Listen to your body and start finding out what are the root causes of your acne. This will help you to find the suitable way to fix the internal problem that causes your acne to appear in the first place. In this way you will not only get rid of your acne, you will also achieve beautiful, healthy, even toned clear skin complexion, re-balance your body and prevent future hormonal or toxic overload related conditions.

The simple truth is…you are ‘out of balance’ inside your body. We now live a ‘far-from-natural’ lifestyle. Every day we are in contact with over 300 synthetic industrial chemicals that did not exist 50 years ago. Food, water and air is polluted and tainted with toxins. This also applies to the medication we ingest and use.

The natural acne cure approach focuses first on tackling the root causes of your acne besides adopting a healthy lifestyle (healthy diet & mindset, cleanse & detoxify, hormonal balancing etc.) you will put your body back into balance – holistically – your acne will cease to torment you and you will get to feel as healthy and attractive as ever!

It doesn’t matter what type of acne you have. Whether you suffer from: acne vulgaris, acne Conglobata, acne Rosacea, Acne Fulminans, Blackheads, Whiteheads, Papules, Pustules, Nodules or Cysts: The basic principles for curing your acne are the same. The “holistic” ways of treating people have been around for many years, and they are absolutely effective whether you have teen or adult acne; whether you suffer from acne on your back, shoulders or chest or if you suffer from female related acne such as menopause acne or acne due to monthly cycles.

Whatever your acne condition is, until you finally stop making the same acne treatment mistakes and start applying the holistic or natural acne cure approach to treating acne, you can literally choose to become clear and stay clear. You will definitely have the power to make it happen.
