Chronic bad breath is a societal taboo and stigma - Chronic bad breath is not only an oral-health issue, but it is generally regarded as socially inacceptable. Chronic bad breath is not only an oral-health issue, but it is generally regarded as socially unacceptable. Although bad breath (halitosis) is a fairly common health challenge, it is difficult to self-diagnose, as it is not easy to detect a long-term odor from your own breath.

Those who suffer from chronic bad breath are often informed by friends or family members, and these conversations are generally awkward for both individuals.

Chronic bad breath has become a major health concern because of its medical consequences and because it causes significant social disharmony, embarrassment, frustration, and despair.

Experiencing chronic bad breath can also lead to social and professional isolation and contribute to marital and relational problems.

Concern over chronic bad breath can affect your sense of peace and well-being. Often, individuals do not address the root causes of bad breath and instead opt for temporary relief in the form of gum, rinses, and sprays.

People who have been told that they may suffer from chronic bad breath can experience feelings of anxiety or worry that they are producing offensive smells near others.

Chronic bad breath is a common concern for those with anxiety for a variety of reasons, including more frequent mouth breathing and anxiety-prompted acid reflux.

Occasionally, chronic bad breath can prompt a prolonging of social anxiety disorder (SAD). Recent research suggests that Halitosis can worsen the symptoms of SAD, making it harder for patients to overcome this mental condition once their breath has been improved.

Getting appropriate treatment for chronic bad breath is essential to prevent medical, social, and psychological issues in your life. Antibacterial mouthwashes are a great way to control bad breath.

If you suspect you may have chronic bad breath, speak with your healthcare provider about developing an effective oral-hygiene routine and overcoming any social issues related to your condition.

Diseases such as asthma, cystic fibrosis, and lung cancer can cause bad odor in the mouth

Diseases such as asthma, cystic fibrosis, and lung cancer can cause bad odor in the mouth - Bad odor in the mouth, also known as halitosis, can be caused by a variety of medical conditions. Illnesses that affect the lungs can create an unpleasant oral odor from complications like increased mucus production or side effects from medications.

Bad odor in the mouth, also known as halitosis, can be caused by a variety of medical conditions. Illnesses that affect the lungs can create an unpleasant oral odor from complications like increased mucus production or side effects from medications.

For those who suffer from asthma, bad odor in the mouth can be caused in several different ways. First, asthma inhalers with corticosteroids can cause thrush, which is an oral yeast infection.

Corticosteroids act as a mild immunosuppressant and can enable higher levels of bacterial growth in the mouth. Bacteria combine with accumulated debris around the teeth, tongue, and gums, causing halitosis.

Alternatively, inhalers can irritate the back of the mouth, which may lead to infection and a bad odor in the mouth. Second, individuals with asthma also experience nasal allergies with increased mucus and postnasal drip, leading to bad breath.

And finally, the wheezing which accompanies asthma can dry out the mouth, hindering the cleansing effect of saliva and making bad odor in the mouth more likely.

More serious lung conditions like cystic fibrosis are also associated with bad odor in the mouth. This is due to the high incidence of sinusitis alongside cystic fibrosis.

Sinusitis generally causes postnasal drip, chronic nasal obstruction and discharge, and severe bad breath from thick, accumulated mucus.

Alternatively, cystic fibrosis can also cause bad breath because of high breath acidity. Researchers maintain that acidic breath associated with this disease may be caused by the overproduction of acids in the lung. Once these acids are exhaled through the mouth, they can make your breath smell badly.

Conditions like lung cancer also involve bad odor in the mouth, this time due to volatile organic compounds in breath.

To combat bad odor in the mouth that is caused by lung conditions, be sure to maintain an effective oral-hygiene routine every day.

Your routine should involve brushing your teeth, gums, and tongue with fluoride toothpaste, flossing, and rinsing your mouth with an antibacterial rinse.

See your dentist for regular cleanings and exams, and be sure to inform him or her of any preexisting medical conditions that may be affecting your oral health.

Are you looking for an effective eczema treatment that does not have any side effects that you experience from using some expensive medications?

There was a time that people steered clear of coconut oil. Because it contained high levels of saturated fat, it was erroneously tagged as unhealthy.

Researches later on, however, revealed that saturated fats are healthy; it is trans fats that is described as “bad” fats.

Coconuts are commonly found in the tropics. It is the source of virgin coconut oil which is hailed for its medicinal properties, including as an effective eczema treatment.

What makes coconuts medicinal is its high medium-chain fatty acid (MCFA) content, which is noted for its ability to prevent heart disease and for lowering the risk of atheroscleroris.

Aside from that, MCFA also aids in treating the damaged skin as it enters the cell structures of our connective tissues. Because of this, it is widely celebrated as an excellent and organic way of treating eczema as well as other skin disorder.

MCFA serves as a protection of our skin, thus, preventing us from developing skin infections caused by bacteria and other organism. It is advisable for us to apply coconut oil since ordinary soap washes off the acid that serves as our skin’s protective layer.

There are different types of coconut oil products available in the market today. For the best results, you should either choose the organic coconut oil, or the virgin coconut oil.

Ordinary coconut oil is not recommended because it comes from copra, or sun-dried meat of the coconut which are exposed to the air as well as to insects and molds.

Copra is usually processed to make refined, bleached and deodorized coconut oil with the use of intense heat and chemicals.

Another thing that separates the virgin variety from the ordinary coconut oil is that the former smells fragrant while the latter does not.

Aside from lathering your skin with virgin coconut oil, you can also incorporate this into your diet using any of the suggested recipes below.

There are lots of information found about the coconut oil, there are now cookbooks written for its use as a key ingredient in recipes. As an Asian living near the Tropics, I have been brought up eating food that makes use of the coconut.

When our skin is sensitive and dry, it gets “cracked.”  There are many causes of skin cracking. Factors such as genes, allergies, (unhealthy) diet, and even over exposure to sun can lead to this skin condition which may give rise to eczema problem.

What worsen skin cracking even further are skin irritants that aggravate the condition of our already weak skin structure.

These irritants include artificial clothing, cold or low temperatures, and of course the chemical components of our hair and skin care products.

Other skin diseases like rosacea, psoriasis, rashes, dermatitis, and eczema are likewise bad news for our weakened skin structure.

What is Eczema?

Did you know that, of the world’s population, between 10 to 20% have eczema problem. This skin disease is manifested in dry, scaly, and itchy skin.

Eczema can be exceedingly painful and extremely itchy, so much so that those who suffer from it have the strong urge to scratch areas affected with this disease.

In worst cases, the skin will be have pus-filled pustules that tend to open and secrete pus, which can cause permanent skin damage.

Don’t You Know that Physical Activities Can Cause or Even Aggravate Your Eczema Problem?

When one thinks of eczema, it would barely cross his mind that it can be caused by exercise or sports. However, experts discovered that one of the factors that can trigger eczema is sweating.

This does not apply to all people, but sweating do cause eczema problem for some people. As we all know, sweating is our body’s natural reaction to high temperatures.

Our body excretes sweat in order to lower its temperature. It is perfectly natural and healthy to sweat; however, since it is salty it does dehydrate our skin and, as a result, causes eczema.
Besides our sweat itself, other factors also worsen our tendency to have eczema. These are:

  1. Sports t-shirts. These are made of synthetic materials which aggravates sweating.
  2. Taking hot showers. This is a no-brainer. Hot water causes our skin to dry even more.
  3. Chemicals in our hair and skin care products. Again, these cause our skin to dry.
  4. Taking a dip in swimming pools. Swimming pools contain chlorine, which is known to worsen skin irritation.
  5. Using locker rooms. It’s best to stay away from locker rooms, as these microorganisms thrive here. These microorganisms are known to trigger infection in our weak skin structure.
  6. Failing to care for our skin. Lack and excessive showering also damage our skin.

Addressing Your Eczema Problem

For active individuals, there are eczema treatment methods that you can follow to address your skin problems. The key to eczema treatment is to target the cause of dry skin, thus, you are advised to:

  1. Lessen the frequency of your sports activity, as well as to tone down on the intensity of each activity.
  2. Choose sports or physical activities that do not cause you to sweat too much.
  3. Do your workout or sports in places which are well-ventilated. Better yet, if you can, do it outdoors under the shade of the trees.
  4. Go natural. Just about every skin care expert would advice that using natural skin care products is one of the top methods of eczema treatment. Trust the experts. If you want to pursue an active lifestyle, this going natural is a must. There are excellent and natural products which relieve dry skin, including rose hip oil.

Revealing Here the 7 Best Foods to Improve Mood

Revealing Here the 7 Best Foods to Improve Mood - Here are the top 7 foods to improve mood when you are feeling stressed.
Get Natural Cleanse to Flush Toxins Out of Your Body That Will Give Your Mood a Boost

You’re cranky, you’re tired and you just want to get into bed and pull the covers over your head.

But it’s only 3 p.m.

Your first instinct might be to order a triple-shot espresso, grab a candy bar or maybe scoop yourself a big bowl of ice cream, but any of these will be suicide for your already-tanked mood.

Here I’m not only talking about the inevitable sugar crash, but also BDNF, a growth hormone in your brain that is low in people feeling sadness … and which is further suppressed by sugar.

As for caffeine, while small amounts might make you feel better temporarily, larger amounts (above 200 milligrams, or the amount in an average 12-ounce cup of coffee) might make you feel more tense and anxious.

Instead, what you need when your mood needs a boost is real food. Not just any real food will do, though, when you’re feeling stressed out or blue…

What you need are “good mood” foods that are proven to make you feel better – some work fast while others work in the long run, so try to include a variety in your diet on a regular basis.

7 Top Foods to Improve Mood

  1. Bananas

Rich in B vitamins, such as vitamin B6, bananas may help to calm your nervous system. They also contain tryptophan, an amino acid that helps your body produce mood-enhancing serotonin, as well as mood-boosting magnesium.

Plus, bananas also contain dopamine, another ‘reward chemical’ to your brain.

  1. Brazil Nuts

Brazil nuts are rich in selenium. Low selenium intake is associated with poor mood, and people with low levels of this mineral who took selenium daily for five weeks had decreasing levels of anxiety, depression and tiredness.

It’s possible to overdose on selenium supplements, however, which is why it is better to get it naturally via your diet.

  1. Kiwi

One kiwi contains more vitamin C than an orange, which is important since vitamin-C deficiency is linked to fatigue and depression. In one study, hospitalized patients experienced an improvement in mood after receiving vitamin C.

  1. A Grass-Fed Beef Burger

A burger to boost your mood? Absolutely! Grass-fed beef is rich in B vitamins, including vitamin B12, which a significant number of Americans may be deficient in.

Mood swings are a common symptom of vitamin B12 deficiency. Further, the protein will help to level out your blood sugar levels.

  1. Spinach

Spinach (and other leafy greens) is rich in folate, high blood levels of which are linked to fewer depressive symptoms. Folate also boosts blood flow to your brain and produces mood-regulating neurotransmitters, including serotonin.

  1. Sardines

These oily fish are an excellent low-mercury source of omega-3 fats, which are not only basic building blocks of your brain but also impact your mood.

After three months, people who consumed a daily dose of omega-3s had a 50 percent reduction in depressive symptoms, including feelings of sadness and pessimism.

  1. Dark Chocolate

Dark chocolate is rich in polyphenols that have a beneficial impact on your mood. One study found people who drank polyphenol-rich cocoa once a day for 30 days reported feeling calmer and more content.

The polyphenol component is critical here, so choose dark chocolate with high cocoa content for the best mood-boosting effects.

Flushing Out Toxins Improves Mood!

They’re in your food (pesticides, antibiotics, hormones, preservatives, artificial colors and flavors), your water and in the air you breathe (car exhaust, second-hand smoke, fumes from cleaning products, etc.).

Other toxins include medications, alcohol, cigarettes … and your body even produces waste products known as endogenous toxins (an unhealthy gut is a common source of endogenous toxins), which can quickly overwhelm your system, particularly if your normal routes of elimination (your urine, colon, lungs, skin and mucosal linings) are not working properly.

If your mood could use a boost, you can help by assisting in your body’s release of accumulated toxins by using Natural Cleanse, a 30-day colon flush and revitalization program.

By flushing toxins from your gastrointestinal tract, your bowels will begin to function normally and inflammation of your GI tract lining will also be reduced (helping stop the transfer of toxins from your colon into your bloodstream).

Many report that their mood improves dramatically and stabilizes, along with feeling more energetic and focused, after completing this simple 30-day program …
