It is the dream of almost every woman to have smooth, soft and sexy lips. When a woman opens her mouth, an impression is made in a split second. When what you hear comes out of a mouth set in smooth, soft and sexy lips, this will catch more attention.

Avoid licking or biting your lips, especially when they are already chapped. The saliva from your mouth doesn’t hydrate your lips.

Make it a habit to brush your lips in small circles with your toothbrush every time you brush your teeth. You don’t need to use a lot of pressure, just enough to remove any flakes of dry skin.

You should drink at least 6 glasses of water every day. This will help hydrate your body from the inside and moisturize your lips and skin.

The skin on an individual’s lips is similar to skin elsewhere on the body when it comes to reflecting the body’s overall health. Foods that are rich in nutrients, such as fruit and vegetables, may improve the condition and appearance of the lips. Foods or supplements that contain vitamins B and E are especially helpful in achieving smooth, soft and sexy lips.
Apply almond paste to your lips to bring to bring out the natural coloring and make your lips look very healthy.

Put on lip balm before going out into the sun or windy, cold weather. Apply balm on your lips every time you put on lipstick.

If you think that your lips are too dark, you can rub lemon juice on your lips to lighten them. After applying the lemon juice, you wait until your lips are dry and then you moisturize your lips because lemon juice can make your lips dry. You do this for only once a week.

Spread a very thin layer of beetroot juice onto your lips before bed to help achieve a healthy pink color. If you use your finger to apply the juice, wash it off right away or you will stain your finger.
Grind some red rose petals into a cup until a visible liquid can be seen. Use this liquid as a natural dye on your lips before going to bed–on a different day than the beet root juice. Carefully rub the ground rose petals on your lips without getting anything around your lip or on your chin. Wash your hands thoroughly. Do this about three times a week, alternating between this and rubbing beetroot juice on your lips.

You get a tomato and mash it into paste using a spoon or a fork. You create a mixture by mixing this mashed tomato paste with an equal amount of heavy cream. You can apply this mixture on your lips daily to add pink color to lacklustre lips. The red coloring of tomato will be transferred to the surface of your lips.

You can also apply Vitamin E-based lip balm with SPF (Sun Protection Factor) or any oil that is rich in Vitamin whenever your lips feel dry. You can do this by breaking open a Vitamin E gel capsule and spreading the oil over your lips.

You can create your own homemade moisturizing lip balm using 1 teaspoon each of beeswax, shea butter and extra virgin olive oil (other than olive oil, you can also use other oils such as aloe vera oil, jojoba oil, sweet almond oil or even extra virgin coconut oil). You combine all the ingredients in a container and then microwave the ingredients until they turn into liquid form and then let it cool down for about 5 minutes. At this point you can add in 3 to 5 drops of flavouring such as peppermint essential oil or lavender essential oil, which is optional. Stir well after adding the essential oil to make sure all the ingredients are mixed well. After this, you can pour this self-made lip balm in a small jar for use later. Once the mixture hardens, it is ready to be used.

Mix together 2 teaspoons of crushed strawberries with 2 teaspoons of raw organic honey (or manuka honey) to create a nutrient-rich scrub that exfoliates using the natural acids in the berries. Spread this mixture on your lips monthly and allow it to stay there for 5 minutes. Rinse off and pat dry. After this, you can put a slice of fresh cucumber against your newly exfoliated lips. The water and nutrients in the cucumber help to moisturize and condition your lips.

You can also moisturize your lips by using aloe vera gel which is a natural moisturizer. Aloe vera gel attracts moisture from the environment by gathering any water vapor in the air. If aloe vera gel is applied directly to your lips, its ability to attract moisture will maintain lip softness.

If you’ve never before used a face and body scrub, you may not know the body benefits of using one on a regular basis. Using a scrub on your body and/or face can be of great help to your complexion, through their ability to make skin appear brighter, fresher and more youthful.

Body washes and scrubs provide a refreshing start to the day and offer an invigorating wake-up after a long day at work or driving kids back and forth from school and sports. Body scrubs help soothe tired dry skin and can be used on the arms, legs and all over the body to increase softness and suppleness.

Body scrubs can offer a spa-like exfoliating experience with rejuvenating aromas and medicinal benefits for the skin. But please note that body scrubs should not be used every single day, as they can cause irritation to freshly exfoliated skin.

A body scrub based on strawberry is a great way to exfoliate your dry knees, elbows, legs, feet, arms, hands and basically anywhere except for your face. Strawberry has amazing properties which are good for hair and skin.

Strawberry acts similar to honey; it can disinfect the skin, smooth it out, and decrease the appearance of dilated pores Strawberry makes a good body scrub, hair mask, exfoliator, rejuvenator, anti-acne mask, anti-wrinkle and the list goes on.

Strawberry body scrubs can be purchased at a number of stores both online and at physical stores, but why buy a synthetic scented body scrub when you can make a fresh, natural one at home. This homemade body exfoliating body scrub will definitely be free from any harsh chemical additives and preservatives.

Below are some strawberry body scrub recipes you can use to help you get smooth, soft, glowing rejuvenated skin.

Strawberry Body Scrub Recipe #1

Get 5 Strawberries and banana and then cut into small pieces and mixed until the mass becomes smooth. Then you add two spoons of olive oil and three spoons of sugar. Thereafter this mass should be applied as a body scrub. It is very tender and should be used once a week in order to get rid of dead cells.

Strawberry Body Scrub Recipe #2

In this scrub the strawberries provide the fragrance but you could also use essential oils. The strawberries are slightly astringent.  I prefer sugar scrubs (white is a bit scrubbier than brown sugar) rather than salt because I live in a dry climate and salt tends to make me feel drier, but you can use either.  Fine sea salt also makes a good scrub. Just substitute the same amount of salt for sugar, or mix them together if you want.

1st thing to do is to finely mash 5 strawberries. Next add 1 – 2 tablespoons canola or olive oil to the strawberries. Canola oil is light while olive oil is heavier which is more suitable if you have drier skin.

Stir in 1 cup of sugar (or salt). After mixing, put it in a plastic bowl for your shower. Scrub on wet skin and rinse off in shower (the oil in the scrub will make the tub slippery, so be careful).

Strawberry Body Scrub Recipe #3

Things that you will need for this recipe are 5 large strawberries (fresh, not frozen), 1/2 tbsp. fresh ginger (finely grated) and 1/4 cup olive oil (you may also use canola, grape seed or sweet almond oil as well)

Puree the strawberries to a thin liquid in a blender or food processor. Combine fresh strawberry puree, ginger and canola oil in a bowl. Using a fork, mix the ingredients in the bowl thoroughly.

Add the salt and baking soda once the first three ingredients have been thoroughly combined Make sure that the liquid is completely combined with the solid. The salts need to be thoroughly saturated. Set aside and let sit for an hour.

Check your salt scrub mixture after an hour. There should be about 1/2 inch of oil on the surface, separated from the mixture. If you need to add more oil, do so now. Mix again and set aside. Add 5 drops of lavender oil if the ingredients are fully combined. Mix gently with a fork.

Spoon the mixture into airtight containers and store in the refrigerator when you’re not using it. Apply the mixture to wet skin when you are done with your shower and exfoliate in a circular motion. Rinse with warm water and pat dry with a towel.

Strawberry Body Scrub Recipe #4

For this recipe, you will need 5 strawberries, 2 tablespoons brown sugar,2 tablespoons ground oats , 2 tablespoons aloe vera gel, 1 tablespoon manuka honey, 1 teaspoon freshly squeezed lemon juice and 1 teaspoon almond oil (in case you don’t have almond oil, use olive oil, it is a great substitute).

Before you start preparing this scrub, grind the strawberries and oatmeal using a coffee grinder or food processor. It has to be of sandy consistency, flaky and light otherwise it will scratch the skin. Mix all the ingredients in a large bowl. Mix until it resembles a paste.

It should be applied on moist skin; the best time is after you took a shower. It will help the skin cells slough off faster. Use circular motion and massage gently using your fingertips. Rinse off with warm water.

Oatmeal is hypoallergenic. In case you have sensitive skin, using the oatmeal is highly recommended because it is soothing and there is no risk that it will irritate the skin. Oatmeal is beneficial to oily skin as it is extremely absorptive and picks up on excess oil. It helps dry and itchy skin and is widely used in cosmetics.

Aloe vera gel is gentle on skin; it speeds its healing and reduces the possible irritation and pain. Lemon is a great natural disinfectant. It opens up the clogged pores and cleanses them thoroughly so your skin can “breathe” better.

Strawberry Body Scrub Recipe #5

For this recipe, you will need ½ a bowl of fresh strawberries mashed, ¼ cup of organic pure cane sugar, ¼ cup of melted Shea butter, ¼ cup of virgin coconut oil, ¼ cup sweet almond oil, ¼ cup sunflower oil and ¼ cup of Vitamin E oil.

Place the freeze-dried strawberries into a mortar and pestle and grind to a fine powder. Pour your pure cane sugar into the mortar and grind for several minutes to make the sugar crystals finer. Place the powdered strawberries and the sugar into a small mixing bowl and stir in the oils. Transfer the scrub to a nice air-tight container and then quickly GO GET YOUR SCRUB ON!!

To use this scrub, you apply a small amount to dry skin and gently massage in small circular motions.  Apply a small amount of warm water and continue to gently scrub until the sugar crystals have melted.  Rinse off with warm water and gently pat skin dry.

You may use on your face too.   Be extra careful when using in the shower or bath as the surface may become slippery.  Don’t scrub your skin too hard! Your skin will appreciate a gentle exfoliation best! You can store this in a cool dark place and use within 3 months.

Facial scarring is extremely difficult to remove. Therefore, it is important to treat facial scars as soon as possible if you hope to completely get rid of them or even reduce their appearance. Luckily in most cases, facial scars can be treated using a combination of natural products and techniques over a period of time.

Facial scarring is especially annoying and injurious to self-confidence when it gets too obvious. Facial scars are physically unattractive which can drastically change your appearance and frequently contribute towards low self-esteem and even depression. These scars could be old or quite recent or some unpleasant reminders of a particularly unfortunate event.

Facial scarring is extremely difficult to remove. Therefore, it is important to treat facial scars as soon as possible if you hope to completely get rid of them or even reduce their appearance.

Luckily in most cases, facial scars can be treated using a combination of natural products and techniques over a period of time. The skin on the face is moist and has a high level of blood flow, which is great for healing scars.

Facial scarring can come from many causes. Often they can be the result of acne, burns, chicken pox, injury or even due to trauma or surgical procedures. Your face is always one area that you will always look at or even to spend up to 15 minutes or more on makeup in front of the mirror on a daily basis. Due to this reason, knowing how to treat facial scars is a very important topic for many people.

Especially for women, having a scar on the face can be very demoralizing and cause self-esteem issues. But before you resort to surgical procedures, you should consider natural facial scar treatment which has no side-effect at all. Facial scars are very treatable due to the optimal moisture and circulation of the facial skin.

While there is no one-size-fit-all way to treat facial scars, there are things you can do to greatly reduce the appearance of your scars. One of the popular ways to treat facial scars is to use designer scar treatment products which are very expensive and contain nothing but a cocktail of moisturizers and other bogus products.

You may have come across online that talk a lot about ingredients like onion extract and Vitamin E that claim to be very effective in treating facial scars but have not been proven to reduce scarring in any medical studies. You should avoid those products that contain these ingredients.

Though there is a lot of debate as to whether or not natural ingredients can completely get rid of facial scars, still there are many natural products which are typically convenient to use and can deliver much better results at a fraction of the cost.

It is also important to include special scar treatment techniques to your regimen. To get better results from your scar treatment regimen, you should keep the scar moist and well circulated. This can be achieved with specialized massage techniques.

Massage has to be done consistently on the affected area after the wound has closed/healed completely. Massaging the area loosens the muscles and blood vessels under the skin. This will result in increased blood flow to the scarred area. This increase of blood flow to the area will help in the transportation of important nutrients and minerals that will then help in the elimination of the scar. Massaging the area for at least six months is recommended for the best outcome.

You should also make sure the scared area is wiped and sterilized to avoid the substances being applied mixing with dirt on the skin’s surface. Another thing that you should do is avoid exposing the scarred area to the sun’s radiation.

The sun causes a discoloring effect on the scarred area. Therefore, you should always ensure the wound is covered properly when outdoors in the sun. It is advised that this should be done for a period of at least 12 months. Covering this area will also help reduce the itching sensation or pain that occurs during the healing process.

Of course, there are many other methods which you can use in combination with certain products that can effectively reduce scarring.  One of which is natural facial scar treatment which is still not much understood by many people. Some people tend to equate something that is expensive to be of better quality or more effective.

Due to this reason, a lot of people who are faced with facial scars opt for expensive and dangerous surgical procedures out of desperation. These often involve cutting out the scar and leaving a smaller, less noticeable one behind.

While surgery treatment can be effective, it is also risky and expensive, and still leaves you with a scar on your face, or even to increase the sensitivity of your skin leaving you unable to apply makeup or any topical cream/gel to affected area for at least one to two weeks.

Natural treatments are much more cost effective and can deliver dramatic results when used properly. Whether it is acne scarring, cuts, scrapes, etc, you can eliminate or reduce the appearance using natural facial scar treatment.

Having personally suffered from facial scarring, I know that it can be very emotional and tough to deal with. But don’t give up. You can get rid of your scars safely and naturally if you put in the time and effort.

You do not need to resort to expensive designer scar creams or risky medical procedures unless all other options are exhausted. You must always do your research before applying any topical product to your skin. Be careful of any advice given on the internet and only use medically proven products.

What is proper scar prevention?

Though reducing the visibility of scars is possible, proper scar prevention is always better. This requires proper treatment of fresh scars to shorten the healing time so that they will not leave behind any permanent marks on your skin.
Click HERE For More Tips on Proper Scar Prevention

Nobody likes to have scars on them. But some people are not so lucky and are quite prone to scarring. Scars are a normal part of healing process for the skin. Scarring is seldom a health concern but it can affect one’s confidence and self-esteem.

Most scars fade or improve within two years of injury, but severe injuries or improper treatment of wounds may leave permanent marks on your skin. Due to this reason, it is better to deal with a fresh cut properly to prevent scars from forming and becoming permanent.

However, what is considered to be proper scar prevention is still hotly debated. So, how then can you know if you are doing the right thing in preventing scars formation? Doing the wrong thing can only slow down the healing process of your wound and worsen the scar.

However, if you want to practise proper scar prevention so that you will have scar-free skin later, here are some tips to follow:

1) Do not over-use hydrogen peroxide. You can use alcohol or hydrogen peroxide to clean your fresh wound. But you can only do this for once, because repeat applying of hydrogen peroxide to a wound will kill the newly forming skin cells. This will slow down the healing process and make your scar much worse in the end. The proper way is to clean the wound once with hydrogen peroxide, then apply an antibacterial ointment such as  Neosporin to keep the wound moist and clean.

2) Cover your wound with some gauze or an adhesive bandage. This is very important to prevent your wound from being infected. During the initial healing stage, you should keep the wound moist by covering it in an antibacterial ointment. This will allow the wound to heal faster and prevent scar from appearing later.

As your wound heals, there is going to be a scab formation. Scabs are meant to shelter a wound while it is still healing. You should not peel away the scab because this will leave you with permanent scar later.

3) Avoid exposing your wound to the sun. Fresh wounds and scars are very sensitive to the sun’s ultraviolet rays. They can get burnt very easily by the sunlight and will ultimately become discoloured, making the scars much more visible. To prevent this from happening, you should apply sun block or sunscreen on the wounds and scars.

4) Avoid using Vitamin E. Recent studies have shown that vitamin E applied to a wound may actually impair healing.

There are many more methods to prevent and treat scarring that can keep you scar-free after skin damage. Proper treatment of fresh scars can shorten the healing time and reduce the visibility of scars.

If you are already beyond this point, do not give up hope yet, because you can still get rid of scars at any age with the proper treatment program.  Natural scar removal is always possible, but preventing it from appearing and becoming permanent is of course better.
