There are a few ways you can contract herpes.  You can get it by touching the skin of someone who has herpes, by kissing someone with herpes or with oral sex or intercourse.  You might not see any sores or other signs, but if you start itching or experience other skin sensations chances are you have it.

You might experience painful itching, or a burning sensation.  You could, experience flu-like symptoms such as headaches, muscle aches and fever.  If you are infected, there are steps you can take to minimize the virus’ effects.

Here are some natural treatments for herpes that can keep the virus at bay and speed up the healing process.

Natural Treatments for Herpes

Baking Soda:

Bi-carbonate soda relieves inflammation, itching and burning.  It also dries up the sores in order to minimize the affected area. Take a tissue or a cotton ball coated in baking soda and apply to the sore.

After one use, the cotton ball or tissue should be thrown out, as it will be infected.  Only use a clean, unused tissue or cotton ball for each application.

Cornstarch will dry excessive moisture in the area and stop the itching sensations.  It works the same way as baking soda.

Black Tea:

Camellia sinenis (black tea) has a high level of tannins which combats antiviral effects and anti inflammatories. Brew a tea bag and let it cool.

Apply to the affected area for approximately 5 minutes.  Repeat this process 3 times a day, you should try this as soon as you notice signs of herpes. Use only black teas, herbal teas will not work.

Ice Packs:

Apply an ice pack to cold sores to soothe the area and cause a level of numbness.  The cold temperature will help inhibit the virus.  Wrap the ice in a cloth or towel and leave on until you experience numbness and the inflammation comes down.

Aloe Vera:

It will relieve itching and soothe inflammation.  It also works really well on scabs that are left behind and relieve tender areas that develop after the sore is gone.

Remove the thorny areas of the plant and then cut into chunks around 2 to 5 inches in length.  Place in your refrigerator or freezer for one hour.  The coolness is soothing to red spots and inflamed areas.

Do’s and Don’ts:

Stay away from diet sodas, sweeteners and other diet products that have the ingredient aspartame.  This ingredient is known to set off an inflammation.

Avoid wheat germ, chocolate, coconut, peanuts, whole wheat and soybeans, to name a few. Check with your doctor for more items you should stay away from.

Increase your intake of fish, beef, chicken, cheese brewer’s yeast and milk.  Also eat fruits and vegetables, your doctor should be able to give you a list of foods you should consume.

Stress can cause outbreaks so concentrate on various therapies that will alleviate stress, such as yoga or meditation.

As scary as herpes might seem, if you have contracted it, you will want to treat it as soon as possible.  This virus does weaken the immune system and therefore it must be checked constantly.

Some people will not experience any of the symptoms where others will.  Not knowing you have herpes is actually quite common; the problem is that if you do have it, you can pass it on to others without even knowing it.

When you get sick, all that’s usually required to make us feel better is a visit to the doctor’s office where he will prescribe a medication that will quickly get you on the mend.

The bad news is that if you have herpes, then there is no cure that you can pick up from the chemist or have prescribed by your doctor.
Herpes blisters can be embarrassing and unsightly, especially on the face & around the mouth, but you can get rid of them fairly quickly by following a few different home remedies.

How to cure herpes blisters – Remedies

Get Rid of Herpes… The first method requires nothing more than a clean wash-cloth and some anti-bacterial soap. Simply soak the wash-cloth in hot water and then apply a small amount of soap.

Gently wash the area where the blisters are congregated, making sure to do so in a way that doesn’t break the skin.
This will help to kill off any bacteria in the affected area, giving the herpes blisters a better chance of clearing up quickly.

If you are concerned that you might tear open the blisters using the method above, then you may feel more comfortable using the petroleum jelly method.

Before getting started make sure to thoroughly wash your hands in hot soapy water. Once that’s done, scoop up a liberal amount of petroleum jelly on your finger and start to work it into the area around your blisters.

Make sure to work from the outer edges of the blisters inwards as this will prevent the possible spreading to other parts of the face.

Petroleum jelly does a very effective job of containing the virus to the areas where the blisters appear, whilst also reducing the irritation that comes with their arrival.

Another good all-natural way to cure herpes blisters is tea tree oil.

The oil should be applied in a similar fashion as the petroleum jelly method and will help cleanse the areas where the herpes blisters have appeared.

These have all proven to work well in reducing the visible signs of herpes blisters, but it’s important to remember that there is no cure and that the blisters could return at any time.

With that said, you should start to really pay attention to everything that you do to see if there is a certain trigger that always seems to cause an outbreak. It could be certain foods that you eat or when your stress levels are high, so try to avoid anything that might lead to problems.
Any of the above ways to cure herpes blisters should help clear up the appearance of them in a matter of days, for a permanent end to herpes type 1 & 2 visit getridofherpes.net

It is the dream of almost every woman to have smooth, soft and sexy lips. When a woman opens her mouth, an impression is made in a split second. When what you hear comes out of a mouth set in smooth, soft and sexy lips, this will catch more attention.

Avoid licking or biting your lips, especially when they are already chapped. The saliva from your mouth doesn’t hydrate your lips.

Make it a habit to brush your lips in small circles with your toothbrush every time you brush your teeth. You don’t need to use a lot of pressure, just enough to remove any flakes of dry skin.

You should drink at least 6 glasses of water every day. This will help hydrate your body from the inside and moisturize your lips and skin.

The skin on an individual’s lips is similar to skin elsewhere on the body when it comes to reflecting the body’s overall health. Foods that are rich in nutrients, such as fruit and vegetables, may improve the condition and appearance of the lips. Foods or supplements that contain vitamins B and E are especially helpful in achieving smooth, soft and sexy lips.
Apply almond paste to your lips to bring to bring out the natural coloring and make your lips look very healthy.

Put on lip balm before going out into the sun or windy, cold weather. Apply balm on your lips every time you put on lipstick.

If you think that your lips are too dark, you can rub lemon juice on your lips to lighten them. After applying the lemon juice, you wait until your lips are dry and then you moisturize your lips because lemon juice can make your lips dry. You do this for only once a week.

Spread a very thin layer of beetroot juice onto your lips before bed to help achieve a healthy pink color. If you use your finger to apply the juice, wash it off right away or you will stain your finger.
Grind some red rose petals into a cup until a visible liquid can be seen. Use this liquid as a natural dye on your lips before going to bed–on a different day than the beet root juice. Carefully rub the ground rose petals on your lips without getting anything around your lip or on your chin. Wash your hands thoroughly. Do this about three times a week, alternating between this and rubbing beetroot juice on your lips.

You get a tomato and mash it into paste using a spoon or a fork. You create a mixture by mixing this mashed tomato paste with an equal amount of heavy cream. You can apply this mixture on your lips daily to add pink color to lacklustre lips. The red coloring of tomato will be transferred to the surface of your lips.

You can also apply Vitamin E-based lip balm with SPF (Sun Protection Factor) or any oil that is rich in Vitamin whenever your lips feel dry. You can do this by breaking open a Vitamin E gel capsule and spreading the oil over your lips.

You can create your own homemade moisturizing lip balm using 1 teaspoon each of beeswax, shea butter and extra virgin olive oil (other than olive oil, you can also use other oils such as aloe vera oil, jojoba oil, sweet almond oil or even extra virgin coconut oil). You combine all the ingredients in a container and then microwave the ingredients until they turn into liquid form and then let it cool down for about 5 minutes. At this point you can add in 3 to 5 drops of flavouring such as peppermint essential oil or lavender essential oil, which is optional. Stir well after adding the essential oil to make sure all the ingredients are mixed well. After this, you can pour this self-made lip balm in a small jar for use later. Once the mixture hardens, it is ready to be used.

Mix together 2 teaspoons of crushed strawberries with 2 teaspoons of raw organic honey (or manuka honey) to create a nutrient-rich scrub that exfoliates using the natural acids in the berries. Spread this mixture on your lips monthly and allow it to stay there for 5 minutes. Rinse off and pat dry. After this, you can put a slice of fresh cucumber against your newly exfoliated lips. The water and nutrients in the cucumber help to moisturize and condition your lips.

You can also moisturize your lips by using aloe vera gel which is a natural moisturizer. Aloe vera gel attracts moisture from the environment by gathering any water vapor in the air. If aloe vera gel is applied directly to your lips, its ability to attract moisture will maintain lip softness.
